1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Spectre (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service.

2. Description of the service

Spectre is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that connects AI agents to LinkedIn data through third-party providers. It surfaces professional profiles, company information, and job postings so agents can use them as structured context. The Service is accessed programmatically through an API key issued to your account.

3. Account responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys.
• You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account, including any tool calls made with your API key.
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it current.
• You may not share your API key with third parties or use the Service to resell, repackage, or redistribute the data it surfaces.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other people, or to collect or store personal data about others without their consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its provider infrastructure.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit limits, or any other usage restrictions.
• Use automated means (beyond the MCP protocol the Service is designed for) to scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data through the Service.

5. Third-party data and accuracy

Spectre surfaces LinkedIn profile, company, and job data sourced through third-party providers (Apify and Bright Data). This data:

• May be incomplete, out of date, occasionally wrong, or unavailable.
• Is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding its accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
• May be subject to availability constraints and rate limits imposed by the underlying providers beyond Spectre's control.

You should independently verify any LinkedIn data before relying on it for decisions, particularly in hiring, sales, or compliance-sensitive contexts.

6. Credits and pricing

Tool calls through the Service consume credits from your account balance. Your dashboard displays your current balance and a history of credit activity. During the current beta phase, a trial grant of 150 credits is applied to new accounts upon first tool call.

Pricing, credit amounts, and grant policies are subject to change at any time. Any changes to credit pricing will be communicated through the Service before they take effect. No payment gateway is integrated at this time — paid credit plans will be announced separately and will be subject to their own terms.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and any remaining credits are forfeited.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Spectre and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to damages resulting from inaccurate or incomplete LinkedIn data surfaced through the Service, loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, India. Users accessing the Service from outside India are responsible for compliance with their local laws.
